At The Exchange of Growth and Transition (The Exchange) I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from depression, and anxiety, grief issues and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they are striving for.
An area of focus I have is working with men who have had unsuccessful/unhealthy relationship issues with others or self. I have assisted men in developing a healthier sense of themselves by developing a greater sense of their own identity and less of an identity defined by their relationships. Along with areas of healthy boundary setting, focusing on developing personal goals and positive cognition’s regarding themselves, they have developed healthier and more fulfilling relationships with others and a more positive sense of themselves.
Specializing in depression, anxiety, men’s issues along with self-esteem issues, adjustment issues, addiction issues, and emotional issues; my therapeutic approach emphasizes that people have the power to find meaning in anything they do through choice and freedom. Meaning in life can enable people impacted by depression and anxiety to alleviate bitterness and apathy. The basis of treatment involves a supportive therapeutic relationship in an effort to talk about, understand, cope, and resolve symptoms. Encouraging people to address the emotional issues they face through full engagement and to take responsibility for the decisions that caused problems to develop is the focus of therapy.
Education:
I twice graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin. I hold a B.A. Liberal Arts and a M. Ed in Educational Counseling.
People who undergo this form of therapy are guided to accept their fears and are given the skills necessary to overcome them through action. By gaining control of the direction of their life, the client is able to design the course of his or her choosing.
In therapy, past experiences are not dwelled upon, but rather used as a tool to promote freedom and assertiveness. The client begins to live life in fullness, from moment to moment, not hindered by the past nor predestined toward the future. When that happens, he or she is truly free.
I am a licensed mental health counselor specializing in individual therapy; and I maintain an office in Stuart, FL.
I work to assist individuals to make healthy life transitions in areas of relationships, career, family, addictions, grief/loss transitions. Among my other areas of expertise are: depression, anxiety, men’s issues, adjustment issues.

With compassion and understanding, I work to create a safe and trusting environment for individuals to share their inner most thoughts and feelings. I also meet each individual where they are in life and help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
